After Jesus’ death and resurrection, He ascended into Heaven and left His disciples with one final charge Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 serves as the table of contents for the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The book of Acts chronicles the movement of the gospel in just three decades from Jerusalem into the rest of the Roman Empire. This once fearful group of followers, empowered by the Holy Spirit, share the good news first in their backyard, then in neighboring nations and eventually all throughout the world. The beginning of the Church represents a worldwide movement of people who had been and were being transformed by the life-giving truth found only in Jesus Christ. Journey through the books of Acts as we trace the movement of the gospel and consider how God may choose to use us individually as Grace Church is spreading the gospel here, there and everywhere! We have included a map for you to mark throughout your journey through Acts to trace the spread of the gospel here, there and everywhere!
