Discover who we are and why we do what we do

Discovery is designed to help you get to know what Grace Church is all about. Throughout this experience, you’ll be able to connect with others while learning what it means to be part of the team here at Grace. Along the way, you’ll discover the heartbeat of Grace Church, our beliefs and values, and what it means to Know It, Live It, and Give It Away.  We offer Discovery both in-person and virtually.  Click below to let us know of your interest.

What is the purpose of membership?

All who call Grace Church their home church serve along with the elders and pastors of Grace Church to accomplish the
mission and vision of the church by living out the values of Grace Church. Being part of the family of Grace Church is all
about giving your life away to make Jesus make sense. Those who are members also carry additional responsibilities such as
voting on the annual campus budget and specific leadership positions.

What is the expectation for membership at Grace Church?

Members of Grace Church must meet the constitutional definition of membership. The definition below represents the beliefs
and practices of Grace Church.

Members are believers in Jesus Christ who have accepted Christ’s salvation, are baptized in water by immersion in the names of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit after their conversion, have completed the membership assimilation process, and joined the church as members. The Senior Pastor’s Operational Plan (Bylaws 2.03C) will define the membership assimilation process. (John 3:16; Acts 2:41; Heb. 10:24-25; Acts 6:1-7)

The membership of Grace Church serves along with the Elders and the Pastors of Grace Church to accomplish the ministry and vision of Grace
Church. Serving as the body of Christ, the membership serves together for the cause of Christ, which is the Great Commission fulfilled through the
Great Commandment. (Eph. 4:11-16; Acts 6:1-7)

The Membership Assimilation Process introduces a potential member to the vision and ministry philosophy of Grace Church,
as well as its biblical foundations. This process is designed to help ground people in their relationship with Christ and give
them tools to accurately interact with God’s word. During this time, we also desire the potential member to know and
become known by Grace Church so together, we can continue reaching the lost with the hope of the gospel.

What is the new membership process?

• Confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and accept Him by grace, through faith, as Savior and Lord
(Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9)
• Belief in the Bible to be the written, complete, final, inerrant, and inspired revelation of the triune God to
man (2 Timothy 3:14-17)
• Baptized in water by immersion in the names of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, in response to
the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19)
• Consent to the Constitution and Bylaws
• Completion of Discovery, Basic Beliefs of the Church, and S.H.A.P.E.
• Application for membership completed and submitted
• Membership interview with Pastor/Director
